Matt Birch Member profile Matt Birch
Matt is Club Captain; a post he has held  before (1996 - 2001) He has scored over 10,000 first team runs and also holds the club batting record for highest score - 223 against Hutton in 1997. Also shows prowess on the dart board, Matt is known as "The Judge" and could be a dark horse in this years Premier Darts League comp.

Michael Burrell Member profile Michael Burrell
Appointed 1st XI captain for 2012.  The self-styled Son Of Duval" will be hoping for a return to the form that saw him become the top wicket-taker in HCPL three years ago. Away from the cricket field, he will one of the major challengers to Paul "Two Darts" James in the SCC Premier Darts League.
Joe Edwards Member profile Joe Edwards
Joe, Vince or Chuckle, depending on who you talk to, is the 2nd XI vice captain and wicketkeeper / occasional batsman. Capable of big shots and driving on the onside, not so strong on the off. Looking to have a big year with the bat and gloves and gaining promotion that the 2nd XI deserves.

Turns his arm over on a sunday now and again, providing he doesn't thrown his arm out fielding. Commonly found at the bar after the game and official overseas welcome party member!
Joe Holland Member profile Joe Holland
Joe made  a welcome return to Town Fields following a spell of eight seasons at Saffron Walden in 2010.
Chris Howard Member profile Chris Howard
Chris's tall frame gives him plenty of leverage to play big shots right from the off. Exciting to watch - one game in 2004 needed 40+ in the next four overs to get us back on track in a run chase and Chris actually managed it, starting by hitting his 1st, 3rd and 4th balls for 6! Chow scored his maiden league 100 in 2008
A sturdy bowler who took 55 wickets at an average of 20.3 in 2010 (his maiden 1st XI season), 71 at 19.5 in 2009 and 41 at 17.5 in 2008, including an 8 for. Chow currently has the second fastest first team 50 which came in 19 balls in 2009.
He is currently the Sunday Development Captain and completed his level 2 coaching certificate, to aid his help with slightly younger boys starting out on their cricketing journey. We look forward to his continued contribution both off and on the field of play, which is becoming considerable.
Chowy won Clubman of the year in 2010, 2nd XI player of the year in 2009 and most improved played in 2007
Paul James Member profile Paul James
Paul "Two Darts" James is a old-fashioned swing bowler and when he gets right can be very difficult to face. It was these banana-balls which helped Paul win 2nd XI player of the year in 2005 and 2006. Reasonably quiet off the field, just goes about his business and is always around for a drink and chat. He won the 2010 Sawbridgeworth CC Premier Darts League, beating Danny "The Heir" Wilson 5-0 in the final.
Kieran Morgan Member profile Kieran Morgan
When 900 years you reach, look as good, you will not.

Charlie Rudkin Member profile Charlie Rudkin
Younger brother of Joe, Charlie is just as cocky. He bats, bowls both seam and spin, and keeps, and is set to be a major Sawbo C.C. player of the future, won 5th X1league batsman of year at 12years old,and was youngest ever !st X1 opening bat last year at 15yrs old, he played every league match and ended up 4th in the batting averages with nearly 400 runs
Joe Rudkin Member profile Joe Rudkin
Rudders is quickly becoming a stump, but now that he bowls, bats , keeps and moans a lot, is beginning the slow decline to becoming a gun in the 5s and being replaced in the ones by springer........

proud to be the official mint produce dealer to the first team, come see me for some extra strongs or mint and tea tree....all completely uncut produce and dealt 100% confidentailly.....

Looking to get some runs on a saturday rather then a sunday for once so he can stop being embarassed by the rest of the family.......

dont take one to him either......
