Located on the east Hertfordshire and west Essex border, Sawbridgeworth is a friendly cricket club always welcoming new members and visitors. The Club boasts amongst the best facilities in Hertfordshire, a friendly and social atmosphere, and a long and proud history going back to 1862.
The club is affiliated to the Hertfordshire County Cricket Association, the Club Cricket Conference and is a member of the Home Counties Premier League and Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League.
We compete with five league XI's on a Saturday and two on a Sunday. The 1st XI play in Division Two East of the Home Counties Premier Cricket League, while the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th XI's are in Divisions 4, 8, 11 and 13 of the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League.
The 1st XI also compete in four cup competitions: the Hertfordshire County Cup, the Club Cricket Conference Trophy, the ECB National Club Knockout Competition, as well as the ECB National Twenty20 Cup (Cockspur Cup).
We are also proud to have a thriving colts section, fielding teams for seven age groups and competing in the Hertfordshire youth leagues.

New Online Club Shop Unveiled
On 17th October 2008 we launched our new online club shop, offering a variety of playing and non-playing clothing, as well as cricket equipment.

Taken on Monday 10th September, 2007, the square is being Koro'd, a process which skims up to 6 cm of the top to be replaced by fresh Ongar loam. The square was levelled at the same time. The job was in the hands of Steven Pask Ltd, one of the most respected ground specialists in the country. It took a week to complete at a cost of £16,000 and was paid for by 50% grants from each of the ECB and East Herts Council.

2008 Sawbridgeworth under 13s.

The first ever 6th XI the club has fielded, away at Goodmayes and Blythswood on Saturday 23rd June, 2007. Sawbo won by five runs. Meado and Gossa have now played in all six elevens.

The 1st XI taken before the first league match of the season, versus Stevenage at Town Fields, on 12th May 2007. The match was later abandoned due to rain.
